Meditation with scientifically
backed brain wave music aka binaural beats
The Brain
The brain is an organ of the body, and like all organs, it is designed
to perform one or more specific tasks. One of the brain’s
primary tasks is to be the control center for the entire physical body.
Our heartbeat, digestion, temperature and all the ‘automated’ processes
taking place to keep us alive are controlled by the brain. It
accomplishes this much like a computer by processing both internal and
external sensory information.
The brain also provides us with the interface of conscious awareness,
what
scientists call ‘self awareness.’ The inputs from our five senses are
‘processed’
in the brain and displayed on a ‘view screen’ for us to observe and
interact with.
Although the brain’s processing of electrochemical information is
fairly well
understood, no one knows how the brain allows us to be aware of our
self. In fact,
the brain has no specific location where memory is stored, so how our
brain records memory is still a mystery.
This gives us two aspects of the brain to consider, the purely physical
electrochemical process and the elusive memory and self
awareness processes.
We will begin with the mechanics, the purely physical aspects of the
brain.
Our brain is made up of billions of brain cells which use electricity
to communicate with each other. Since brain cells are alive, they are
always generating electrical signals; they are never ‘off’ or shut
down. The combination of millions of neurons sending signals all at the
same time produces an enormous amount of electrical activity in the
brain.
This activity can be detected and mapped using sensitive medical
equipment such as an EEG. Such map shows that the brain is emitting
specific frequency patterns that relate directly to different mental
processes all the way from wide awake and highly focused to deep,
dreamless sleep.
Brain Wave Patterns:
The brain produces electrical patterns known as brainwaves.
These patterns can be detected using sophisticated electronic equipment
known as EEG devices. Different brainwave patterns are produced during
different mental activities.
If external stimulus is applied to the brain, it is possible to
‘entrain’ or change the dominant brain frequency from one stage to
another. If an individual in the beta stage is presented with a
stimulus of 10Hz for some time, the brain frequency is likely to change
towards that stimulus. This is called the frequency following response.
When a brainwave pattern is practiced over a period of time, the brain
actually
‘learns’ the state and it becomes easier to produce the desired
brainwave state at will.
Binaural Beats have been researched for almost 170 years.
The power of Binaural Beats was discovered in 1839 by Heinrich Wilhelm
Dove, but the idea never took off. 134 years later, Gerald Oster
published an article called "Auditory Beats in the Brain" which was
published in Scientific American in 1973. Oster's paper was landmark
not so much for its own new laboratory findings, but rather that in the
way in which it identified and tied together the isolated islands of
relevant research done since Dove, in a way that gave the subject fresh
insight and relevance to scientific research.
The human brain goes through many frequency cycles during each day.
Different frequencies produce different effects to the human
consciousness.
Using this information, it has been discovered that the brains
receiving and
operating frequency can be altered by sound waves. Many of the most
powerful
brain frequencies are under 20 Hz. Since the ear itself does not
respond to
frequencies below 20 Hz, Binaural Beat Technology came about which uses
the
inner wiring of the brain to produce the frequency with perfect
accuracy.
Difference Between Subliminal And Binaural
Subliminal recordings attempt to program the brain with the use of
harmonic sounds and voices alone. Subliminal recordings usually have no
immediate effects, and is doubted if they produce any effects at all.
Binaural Beats work immediately, and can be felt upon first use. There
is proven science behind Binaural Beats and the effects are real.
Binaural Beats successfully alter your brains frequencies. Once your
brain is in the right state to absorb, subliminal programming is
dramatically improved.
Binaural Beats directly stimulate the brain by altering the operating
frequency.
How Binaural Beats Work
Binaural Beats work by broadcasting two separate frequencies in each
ear.
For example, if you wanted to tune your brain to a 7 Hz frequency, you
could
play 200 Hz in your right ear, and 207 Hz in your left ear. The brain
will
compensate for the difference between the two and produce a third tone
that
will be exactly 7 Hz. This will result in your brain frequency being
lowered
and tuned to the desired 7 Hz operating stage.
Each recording is different, and each recording is tuned for a specific
purpose.
Example- 4.2 Hz and 6.3 Hz are both within the Theta Range, but exhibit
totally
different characteristics. The four main frequency classifications are
large and
vague ranges, and within these classifications are an array of
frequency options
which all produce different effects. Also, studies show that exact
combination of
frequencies cause many documented brain reactions.
Some of the common physical effects are:
1. The body feeling heavy and the inability to move freely
2. Total relaxation of the entire body from head to toe
3. Vivid visualizations, colors, and patterns
4. Separation of the conscious and subconscious mind
5. Anxiety, Stress, and Tension Relieved
6. Feeling of sedation or not feeling the body at all
Every persons brain is different, and every recording we sell uses
different frequencies. There is no exact answer to what you will
experience. Some minds are more open to suggestion, and some are
stubborn. Many people have absolutely "Wild Experiences", while others
have more mild effects. Although each of our recordings is specifically
designed for a purpose, experiences will differ person to person.
Are Binaural Beats Dangerous?
There is no proof to suggest Binaural Beats pose any danger to
listeners. Binaural Beats use the exact same frequencies that we touch
upon everyday in our daily lives. Binaural Beats allow you to reach
certain mind levels "On Demand". I suggest persons with heart problems,
psychological problems, and other abnormalities consult a doctor before
use.
Brain Frequency Chart
Extensive credible studies have been done with Binaural Beats in
attempts to find out what frequencies trigger brain reactions. These
studies have produced incredible results that link metaphysical
abilities to exact frequencies. Below is a chart that shows the 4 most
common brain wave classifications. Each classification can be broken
down into frequencies that each effect a different part of the
conscious and subconscious mind. Remember, there are many possible
variations within each classifications, and studies show certain
combinations of these frequencies produce different effects.

NOTE: The brainwave states are an indication of the most dominant
patterns during any given mental activity. The brain is a dynamic,
living organ. During these dominant patterns, other frequencies still
exist and there is no exact, single frequency that our brain operates
on.
For this form of meditation, we can focus on a happy moment, a peaceful
place or anything that has ‘pleasant memory’ patterns. It is fine to
drift from topic or thought to thought, but do not dwell on anything
that results in negative emotions or worry. Remaining focused on
positive thoughts causes the brain to relax into alpha and the early
stages of theta.Don’t get derailed with ‘heavy traffic’ problem
solving. Fifteen minutes of ‘highway cruising’ in alpha once or twice a
day produces all the physical and emotional benefits,
enhances the immune response, gives the brain chemistry an
opportunity to recover and much more.
Here’s what scientists know happens during simple alpha meditation:
* Increase in attention focusing, and emotional balance.
* An increase in norepinephrin, serotonin levels.
* A decrease in blood lactate levels.
* An increase in beta-endorphin levels.
* Enhance the immune system.
* Reduce stress.
* Quick pick-me-up.
It is important to note that practicing meditation or using binaural
sounds is associated with an increase in psychic ability. In this level
of meditation, the association may only result in an increase in what
is known as intuition.
You will feel the benefits immediately and the more you practice, the
better you’ll feel and the healthier you’ll become!
